Giving Day 2020

The challenges caused by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) are having a profound impact around the globe, including here at Louisiana Tech University. 

Like each of you, the College of Engineering and Science is dealing with the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and how it has changed our daily operations. It has required the most rapid response from our faculty and staff. In less than a span of two weeks, our faculty and staff have transitioned every course we are offering to online learning. To provide some perspective, that is roughly 270 courses with over 7,000 students. This is a tremendous statement of how dedicated our faculty and staff are at providing an unparalleled education to our students. Our alumni and friends play a tremendous role in making all of this possible. Your gifts to the College of Engineering and Science enables us to act rapidly to respond to individual needs of our students and faculty. 

With your support, you are enabling our faculty and staff to focus on what is important at this time, ensuring that we provide the best educational experience to our students that is possible. 

We are all looking forward to the day that students, faculty, family, and alumni can come back to our beautiful campus. But until then, we will continue to think creatively, innovate, and prepare the best engineers and scientists for our future.
