Thank You Tech Family!
Regal Blues

1. Who are we?

  • The Louisiana Tech Regal Blues are made up of 22 full time students who all share the love for dance and this amazing university.  We are committed, well-rounded individuals and dancers with good character who represent Louisiana Tech University in a positive manner, as Regal Blues are highly visible within our university and our community. We are women who are outgoing and can work well with coaches, other teammates, faculty and peers. Louisiana Tech Regal Blues are experienced technically trained dancers who promote school spirit throughout the year. We represent the Bulldogs at numerous sporting events such as football, men’s and women’s basketball, baseball and occasional soccer and volleyball games. In addition, we participate in pep rallies, additional athletic department events, and campus and community service activities during the year. The Regal Blues also compete at the UDA College Nationals in Orlando, Florida.  Louisiana Tech is dear to our hearts and we all share a tremendous amount of pride, commitment and loyalty to our university.    Louisiana Tech is dear to our hearts and we all share a tremendous amount of pride, commitment, and loyalty to our university.

2. Why should you give?

  •  Every year, the girls on the team are required to raise money through donations and sponsorships to help pay for numerous expenses for the upcoming season.  Some expenses include but are not limited to travel, meals during travel, uniforms, UDA camp, UDA nationals, ProAction Dance Intensive, choreography and so much more.  Because the girls on the team are all full time college students, with only few of them having jobs, asking them to pay out of pocket for these things is something we always try to turn away from.  We are reaching out to our alumni, loyal supporters, family, friends, co-workers, and anyone else who wants to help us raise money to cover the cost of the yearly expenses it takes in order for this team to do what we do to the best of our ability.  In order to do this, it is important for us to be able to travel and go to competitions, camps, and intensives to stay up to date with the latest and greatest choreography as well as instruction from professionals all around the world.  The Regal Blues work so very hard day in and day out and deserve to be able to showcase their talent not only on the field/court, but also on the nationals stage.
  • For years, the Regal Blues have been a much smaller collegiate dance team, but as our school continues to grow we want to be apart of the growth.  Three years ago our team went to UDA college nationals to compete for the first time in over 5 years, coming home with a 12th place trophy and have only progressed each year. As each year goes by, we know we want to continue to compete and continue to represent Louisiana Tech at the highest level.  However, we cannot do it alone.
  • We are also responsible for raising money for anything we want to do outside of just "dance things". We love to be able to participate in events around the campus and community, but everything comes with an expense. Not many people know what it takes to make an organization of this capacity run efficiently, and any financial help is always greatly appreciated and used for the betterment of this team so that we can represent the Louisiana Tech the best we possibly can.

GO DOGS!!!
