The Louisiana Tech Legacy Museum builds on the previous athletic museum at the Charles Wyly Athletic Center. As the athletic center is being repurposed by athletics, the former Ruston State Bank building at the intersection of California Ave. and Thornton St. will house the new museum. Not only athletic achievements but other defining moments that comprise Tech’s legacy will be showcased. Take a walk through time; from the construction of stadiums and gyms to planetariums and Wyly Tower. From familiar athletic names like Robertson, Bradshaw, Malone, Aillet, Lambright, Barmore, and Eagles to Country music stars Kix Brooks and Trace Atkins; and from administrators like F. Jay Taylor to historic programs like the Lady Techsters and Tech Rome, Tech has punched above its weight and continues to reach for the stars.

The museum was involved in the 2025 100 Years of Homecoming exhibition and is currently involved in a project to revitalize the university Hall of Fame in the Thomas Assembly Center. The university is currently working on a timeline for renovation of the bank building for the museum. Your donation will help create new exhibits, fund innovative technology for those exhibits, and contribute toward engaging events in the future. We look forward to bridging today with the past and anticipating a bright future and look forward to sharing it with you.
